I have been both a woinrkg mom and a stay-at-home mom. I prefer to call them busy woinrkg moms and busy stay-at-home moms. Both types are very busy. I don’t particular like the term full-time mom as I was never off the clock when I was woinrkg. Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t with my child 24/7 then, but if daycare called because he was sick or whatever, I had to immediately leave my job and be there for him. I’d call the doctor’s office on the way to the daycare and head from the daycare to the appointment. I did find though that being at work was much more relaxing than being a SAHM. Now that I’m at home, I never get a break, unless it’s naptime (but, then I even find myself doing chores). I had quite 1 hour lunch breaks at work, and now I’m lucky to sit for 15 minutes. But, I love being a SAHM. Both types of parents do the night routine waking up for this or that. Either way, we do what we have to for our kids! Take care.

As a meohtr of a beautiful almost 3yr old little girl id like to say i LOVE this article! It is right ON THE MONEY’ lol Id like to add I was also one of those meohtrs whom spent a ton on my child and finally 3yrs later ive came to find that there are sooo many ways to save money yet still have everything you need for your little angel! I myself have a church/food bank where there is a thrift shop and along with myself there are many other Mommys with spoiled children who have spent tons who feel great donating and recieving!! It works both ways, and being a single meohtr this works GREAT!! Ive gotten things from strollers to full kids kitchen playsets and a ton of books!! Didnt spend a dime!! Places like churches take donations so you can leave with a ton and keep money in your pocket!! Ebay is most definately awesome for kids clothing, bundles for cheap, and you get too see what your paying for which is always good..and yard sales of course if you get there early you almost always find a great deal!!

Thank you for this post. I’m a newly silgne mom as of last May and this is harder than I ever imagined. I’m known for having a lot of empathy, actually too much. Once at a funeral I gave myself a migraine for my heart being to open. Even with all my empathetic ways, I never came close to knowing what it was like until I was a silgne mom. I’m a disabled silgne mom. Most people don’t know that b/c I accomplish some things they and my diseases are invisible unless you have the pleasure of seeing me first thing in the morning.

Stephanie, moms carry the load when it comes to rsaiing children, you have the wisdom to know how to face the challenge I agree moms need to support each other. Maybe we could have a MOMS help website & share ideas.Judging any mom is hurtful not helpful, I don’t respond well to judging of others, where are the mom voices out there? Let all moms join together & experience the confidence of Unity, there is magic in numbers.

Thank-you for the great airtcle! As a working mom of a 15 month year old with a supposed 4 day work week for my employer it’s rough balancing it all. We all do it own way, with support hopefully!
